Day 21
We moved the chicks to our bathroom today, so they have more room to run around when we let them out of the brooder.
One of the Barred Rocks chicks has not been developing like the others. It is growing larger, but its wing are still very small and has only a few feathers compared to all the other chicks. It still can’t fly at all. Josh posted on backyardchickens.com and was told that it is probably a rooster:( If it is in fact a rooster, “he” will have to go live somewhere else. We’ll have to wait until they are older to tell for sure.
The one on the left is the suspect chick.
